Not Guilty was a direct response to the previous post
'guilty'. My new years resolution is to counter-post
everytime someone mentions god in a post - stating god to be
a matter of fact not faith. One complaint I often hear from
my fellow aussies is that the net is dominated by persons
who assume that their culture is international. In my case
my objection is to the assumption taken by many that their
religion is international.
Yes it was mostly directed at the christians, the muslims
and the jews and any other religion with expansionist and
sexist/racist policies. Funnily enough the buddhists and the
taoists dont offend me.
What it wasnt meant to be was a worked poem, merely off the
cuff rebuttal, however I may work it into shape now that the
seed is planted. Hope this is allowed on here but from what
I've seen so far whilst lurking it seemed ok to do. Its not
so much about anger as redressing a balance. David I agree
with your criticism - its a lousy poem as it is. But then
again, I didnt think much about 'guilty' either.
THe Testament poem I posted over easter, however, was
worked. Debbie, did your friend say yeeoch to that?
Douglas, thankyou for your suggested reaadings - I really am
a complete novice, perhaps I should look for a Poetry 101
online course I could audit. I'm fairly isolated and the
local library is skimpy so pointers to online material are
welcomed.
Feeling very happy to find a new 'inspirational' list with
intelligent people on it.
