Since when was anyone keeping up their side?, itself, if you like, an
interesting metaphor.
Of current Welsh poets I have seen I like Ian Davidson, and have patience
with Stephen Knight and Meena Elphyn. Gilllian Clarke's work has some
success but is not to my taste at all while Oliver Reynolds I consider
artful but disagreeable. I haven't seen Gwyneth Lewis's work (mentioned by
Matthew)
and that's it.
I do think we're talking at cross-purposes on this, though, hence I am
happier to let it rest
Oh, ps
I _despise_ political correctness, even if it's correct.
best
