Can I remind members of this list that Prest Roots Press published over the summer a pamphlet by John Kinsella called "Outside the Panopticon"?
With so much else to think about it rather feels as though it's got overlooked but that would be a pity. The booklet consists of a cycle of 15 love poems. Here is the last (and shortest) one:
Small Love Poem
I'll risk bad weather
to collect you a windfall,
though you won't be here
to receive it:
the room will fill with its aroma,
the tension within -
loaded still, as if suspended
against the fallen season.
