It's quite interesting: but why is "America" always the military-industrial
complex represented by Bush & co, even for the writer? If criticizing the
actions committed by that power complex is anti-American, then so are many
Americans, which is absurd. Of course the Englishwoman (what a friend!)
comparing the Americans highly unfavourably with the English in the course
of asserting her moral superiority is barking as well as extremely
unpleasant. But such cases are hardly a standard & prove nothing as to the
rights & wrongs of the ongoing military action. The stress on oil made in
the article is very revealing, though, like a threat...
