Stupidity in the sense of folly is by no means incompatible with a certain
cleverness: like being too clever for one's own good, for instance. But I
associate stupidity more generally with moral stupidity, or wilful
self-stupefaction, see e.g. egregious pederast Jonathan King, and can't see
any particular virtue in that (or in that which is claimed to be love but is
largely the same thing, stupefaction).
