Yes, I knew there always had been some Jews in Israel. They seem to be
everywhere else, like the Cornish - and probably every other race once you
look... I had only been at pains to dispute the implication that there had
been a large presence all the way back to the Roman era
& the connection with German nationalism and romanticism

how *dare I make such a connection has been the response in the past, to
