I go into Dr Marlowe's office. He is signing me off from Psychiatry
and transferring me to my GP after more than twenty years of supervision
for schizophrenia. I explain that my only symptoms nowadays are my bipolar
depressions but they only last four or five days. I just stick to my
routine until I snap out of it. I explain that I build my life on routine
and stick religiously to it. He asks me if I have any worries.
I do not tell him about the blackberry spikes in my overgrown back garden
which haunt me. Now back home for tea then I will head for the pub.
