thank you for the comparison . I loved your poem.
Seems you and I have a connection with animals mainly
the human and feline kind, seein and fleeing light. Do
I dare one more??...One is posted below. That is a

Charlie stood at my feet.
His cat fur dull with old Life.
He doesn't clean himself
the way he used to.
I cut a hard mass of fur
off his back, then he followed
me to the peach tree.
It had one new blossom:
Second time in the young life
of this tree to bloom. Skinny,
its branches thin, stretched
to find its light while Charlie
and I look away to find
the darkest shade for comfort.
