On behalf of lurkers, which, like Jill, I have been more of than not
lately, I would argue that their silence on this matter is a form of
consent, as usual. Actually, I don't care enough one way or the other to
make a case for either, but what that really mens is that I don't mind
making the archives open (eventually, as Alison argues). And when asked why
not, it's hard to come up with any profound reasons...
