Thanks, Josephine, for mentioning the spamming issue, which I forgot to
mention myself, but which had been brought up by Jiscmail when it offered us
the private-archive option as at least a temporary solution to our recent
(human) problem. And it wasn't my decision (alone) nor one that I even have
strong feelings about (yet) as a permanent option, although I've heard more
good reasons so far for a private list's archives being private under
today's conditions. We've heard from relatively few of you on this at the
moment, though, so do tell us your druthers or forever (well, you know how
the rest goes).
