Opening Gig -Independent Australian Music Showcase

Double Bill with
The Blue Black Waves - Dublin Based Australian Band
Stiff Gins - Leading Aboriginal female accapella group
And featuring special guest
Matt Lunsen - Tasmanian born and Dublin resident singer songwriter and
performer.

Opening Ceremony & Reception
Venue IFC
Time 7.30 - 9pm
Opening speech by the Australian Ambassador Hon Bob Halverson to invited
guests and media.
Selected artists from festival play short pieces - a smorgasbord to whet the
appetite.

Opening Concert - ARC Dreaming
Venue Meeting House Square
Time 9.00pm - 11pm
ARC Dreaming perform their musical with an interlude.

Spoken Word - Bewleys
Workshop - Andrew Lindsay

Writing and Performance, writing AS performance, 'in
possession of the facts' and 'states of possession'.
Timing and rhythm, Cuban jokes and three act structure,
fictional processes and 'spontaneous combustion'.

Book Launch Dr Robyn Rowland
6.00 - 7.30 Fiery Water
The Festival is proud to launch the latest work of Australian poet Dr Robyn
Rowland. "Fiery Water" is published by Five Islands Press.
Robyn will be reading from the book and the evening will feature some very
special guests.
