Sorry for the confusion between Owens--I thought you were saying that
Britten's _Owen Wingrave_ hadn't been recorded, but "of course" (as you say)
it was--so I'm still seeking suggestions from those who are better educated
musically than I am for specific recordings (on CD, that is). As for the
film of the opera I saw maybe 20 years ago, it might well have been a PBS
production and I'll check into that. If so, there may be a video of it and a
web search might just turn it up.
