but what if we simply refuse to accept Bloom's terms, especially those
concerned with belatedness & beig secondary poets...?
For one thing, his high sense of writers in a continual Oedipal battle with
the past not only leaves out all women poets, but it makes no sense to me,
in terms of my own relationship with the great writers from whom I have
learned...
