An interesting question. I would say that heteronymy could, certainly, take
oral expression as one of its forms: Experiments inside the vast and
vacuumed space of hyperauthorship would partake of all genres.
But what occurs to me from Alison's question is that oral poetries,
traditionally, have origin in more or less anonymous sources, and, too, to
gather much of their collective, proliferating energy (like a strom around
its still center?) from that central anonymity.
Maybe there is a lesson for us there!
