That's worth remembering -- poetry is pretty much
uncontainable.
And it makes me think of some of Borges' short
stories. One half page he wrote about toenails is
an excellent example - and in _Labyrinths_ so is
"The House of Asterion". I've read some of Borges'
poetry and I seem to get more "poetry" out of the
"stories".
(Thank's for the reminder of Chekhov - I've just
grabbed his stories to read when I was getting
down Borges.)
