Hi, Komninos,
I guess I'm not clear about your agenda or expectations here. Your
first post seemed to be soliciting feedback on your own poems, but
what you say to Alison below suggests more of an interest in using
your poems to test listees' ability to "read" an abundance of
"cyberpoetry/hypermedia/webart."
Maybe you could say why you believe people who "seem to accept
hypertext...are having difficulty 'reading' it and what their
opinion on your poetry as poetry tells us, one way or the other.
I'd love to participate in a discussion of various aspects of the
whole web-poetry scene, but I suspect that focusing too narrowly
on any one example of hypertext or cyberpoetry would limit the
conversation to that work exclusively.
As one of those "text/print publish type poets" you have in mind,
though, I'll tell you that I'm getting a tremendous kick out of
my first online publication. The first few days after my poems
went "up," I'd compulsively click on my personal URL just to see
if they were still there, and I'd get a real thrill every time
they popped up on my screen. Soon after that, I was startled (and
flattered) to receive an e-mail from a stranger with the greeting
"Hello, Cyberpoet!" and an invitation to post poems on another site.
Now, although I'm no longer compulsively driven to click on my poems
several times a day, it's still thrilling to see them pop up ("hello,
cyberpoet!").
