...has some links to a lot of interesting stuff. They tend to call it
web art, rather than hypertext literature, though there are frequent
debates about what a good name would be. It's not all literary based,
though.
Strikes me that Finnegan's Wake wouldn't make good hypertext literature
precisely because it has so many strands to it. If you chose to read
them in a different order, it probably wouldn't make a great deal of
difference to the overall effect.
Something that would definitely benefit from hypertext would be a multi-
strand romance like Lord of the Rings. If you had the ability to read
what one lot were doing while another bunch were wandering around
Fangorn or whatever, it would add something significant.
