Dear Hugh,
I will be in Naples for a week around the 10-20 May in the occasion of the
political election to make sure I add my vote to those of my comrades to
try to oppose the huge stupidity of a even huger proportion of my co-
nationals who are crazy enough as to put again the Country at risk of
collapse by threatening to vote and make Berlusconi win the election, which
is as bad for Italy as Bush is for the USA.
I really enjoyed your joke about the Pope refusing to carry the cross for
the Via Crucis and sending people back home because the Vatican was too
cold.
It reminds me of a parody by the musical group of the Eighties "The
Squalor" who wrote this laughable pastiche called "The election of Pope
Gennarino I, from Naples ...a very lazy and old Pope who would have rather
not have been elected and sees the "doveri pontifici" as a terrible curse
and burden).
Well, I know how poeple who of his age who had the diseases he sufferers
from might feel. They experience an exhausting weakness, so, we can
justify him. He is beyond probably false identifications with entities we
must suppose that exist somewhere.
Are you still in Rome? Have you already visited Naples ? If not, BC .
cheers,
Erminia
