The word does rather imply this, doesn't it.
The only way I know how to get food is to drive to the shops and buy it.
I do ok in England. Stick me in a forest with no roads and no handy
supermarkets and I'd starve to death. The value of a skill depends on
where you are at the time. If you're somewhere a skill is necessary and
you don't have it, you learn that fact very rapidly.
Oh, and Cassie, the 'net is full of bad poets who are *bad*. Their
personal experiences don't come into it. A poet, as Gavin Ewart
contentiously suggested, is someone who can actually *write*.
