Well, I thought _I_ was the Tolkien nut in this household, but my
husband and son went out for a walk the other day and came back with
the CD of Howard Shore's film score. (I can't trust them anywhere
with money). And, you know, it's really not bad... though why they
had to write those drippy lyrics instead of adapting some of
Tolkien's own poems defeats me.
I can't wait to see the movie: from what I've been able to glean from
those who have it sounds fabulous. I've never been one of those who
speaks Quenya and Sindarin for pleasure and profit, but I'd be pretty
fussy, the LOTR being a sacred text of my childhood.
