You could say that we arise out of a common dust, and that distinctions are
as nothing in the grave.
What is interesting - I repeat - is that there is *anywhere at all*, even be
it in the sphere of "culture", where distinctions are not as nothing. How
and where could this "somewhere" arise? The very existence of the *illusion*
of separation and difference implies a split down the middle of human
experience, a split between the illusory and the real if you like.
Differance and articulation at the origin, y'ken? There can be
equivalences - every *ratio* depends on them - but no principle of
equivalence. Or at least, no first principle. Normative standardisation is a
political invention no less than discriminatory categorisation, each the
other's evil twin.
It takes a real eccentricity to make a passion for similitude one's private
idiosyncracy, don't you think?
