What are packet sniffers?
I think the risks are exaggerated - after all, nobody complained before
the archives were made private. The spooks and corporate pragmatism bit
comes from arguments that sound to my ear rather er bureaucratic and
rather in line with the fear which is supposed to stampede us into
agreement. Not playing!
If we suddenly get attacked by cyberterrorists I might revise my opinion
- but I've been on public archives for years and only had the odd problem.
