Nothing so precise. But think of the difference between, say, _Prufrock_,
with its rhymes and snatches of regular rhythms, and some of the
heavily -stressed alliterative-verse-like passages of _Briggflatts_, and
those terse, spaced-out stanzas of Creeley that Mark quoted, and any page of
the _Cantos_ etc etc. If there were 'rules' for these poems, one would say
they were all written in different forms.
