No, I was responding to your post's implied suggestion (tho no doubt what I
took as your superior attitude was a misreading provoked by the pina colada)
that industrial work is a less worthy or desirable form of occupation than
the academic professing of poesy. It may certainly be so for some, but not
necessarily for all. I have met lots of very smart and happy factory workers
(whose souls have been enriched, not killed, by the challenge of their
labors) who tell knee-slapping jokes at lunch break about professors.
No hard feelings.
