Andrew:
Great site! I had no problems entering from hotmail, although I think it's
always best to write down the url and go in after emailing.
Andrew you have given me ideas to set up a web site on my *poet-tree* class.
We are a group of about 7-8 poets who meet in Edith Cowan House, ECU
Joondalup on a Saturday afternoon. We discuss poetics, learn about the
masters/madames/ms and their work, usually we spend 6-10 minutes on a
writing exercise and after a tea-break we critique each other's work. We
also invite published WA poets to read their work and discuss their poetics.
So far we've had Sarah French, Mike Williams, Frances Sbrocchi, and just
recently, of course, you Andrew - it was great to get a sneak preview of
your next collected works, many thanks.
We're all inspired - new poets are now daring to send off their work -
we inspire one another. One member has just won $250 - first prize in a
haiku competition, just after we reviewed that form. It's amazing what this
communal activity does for the soul of the poet.
Cheers
Helen
