As a rule of thumb I usually get further or new consent if the nature of the
management position has changed in relation to the employee. If for
instance the situation has moved from simply supplying a progress report to
a management consideration of retirement or capability dismissal, that would
essentially change the nature of 'informed' consent. The employee needs to
know the new basis of the advice being sought. It may be matters have
changed within say 3 months so you would not be able to use an arbitrary 6
months rule.
