The above post is available for 3 years to work on a project entitled:
“Factors contributing to susceptibility to cardiopulmonary mortality from
particulate air pollution”. This is part of the Medical Research Council
(MRCs) ‘Health of the Public’ research initiative.
Ideally, you should have skills in handling large and relatively complex
data sets, ability to apply standard statistical methodology, including
generalised linear modelling, time series modelling and survival analysis.
Specific duties will include collation of relevant data, application of
standard statistical modelling, literature searching, interpretation and
discussion of results of statistical analysis and the writing up of draft
reports.
The post is available from 30 March 2001, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Salary scale depending on qualifications and experience on the scale £16,775
- £25,213 per annum.
