I have always thought that severe migraine would be covered by the DDA.
The real problem is in deciding what a reasonable adjustment would be. In
these circumstances the only adjustment I can think of would be for
management to accept this level of absenteeisn, which is likely to be
unpredictable or, as you have suggested, some form of part-time contract.
This is now a management problem. You have described the situation and
advised on possible adjustments. They now have to decide if it would be
reasonable to expect them as employers to implement them. We may have our
own views on what is reasonable, but only managers can take into account
all factors before arriving at a decision.
