A conference about creative digital work with communities
Thu 21 June, 10.45 hrs to 16.30 hrs
This conference and accompanying exhibition aim to explore the impact of the
digital revolution on communities, with an emphasis on the involvement of
young people.
It will showcase the work produced in recent local digital arts projects,
and consider its place within current theory about digital arts. The event
is led by Community Youth Binary Arts (CYBA), a Monument Trust and Bristol
City Council funded project which enables young people at risk of exclusion
to produce creative visual work using digital media. It will provide a
cross-disciplinary forum from which to compare approaches to raising funds;
to facilitating creativity; and to evaluating community digital projects.
Fee: £30 including lunch
To book a place and receive a provisional programme, please call Box Office
on 0117 925 3845. Advance booking is essential.
A collaboration between CYBA, Knowle West Media Project, Connections, and
