Dear List,
Thanks again to to all those doing the useful and thoughtful
postings, and a gentle reminder that this list is for discussion of
new media curating issues, and as it says in your welcome message:
1. Artists are welcome to critically discuss how their own new media
artwork is shown, but not to simply mass mail publicity.
2. Flaming (personal attacks rather than reasoned disagreement) tends
to breed more flaming, which is boring, irrelevant, and expensive for
those with slow connections. Everybody be nice, and remember that
your hasty words are carefully archived!
Rest assured that I as your trusty list owner, send personal emails
asking offenders to desist (three strikes and they are off the List),
so if you're worried by certain postings, email me personally rather
than publicly, on: [log in to unmask]
That's also the email for all queries about trouble leaving or
joining etc. Please DON'T send those queries to the whole list.
We're busy digesting the Baltic Seminar documentation at the moment -
which will be made public later this year - watch out for news of
this. More later. Let the debate continue!
Yours,
Beryl
