Dear john,
I read your piece on linking up vulnerability and hazards with
sustainable livelihoods approaches several months ago and it has
taken me until now to respond - sorry! This is largely prompted by
not seeing you at Philip Buckles meeting earlier this week where I
had hoped to talk to you.
I tried a while back to get CHAD interested in vulnerability
analysis, and more specifically to try and assist them in making
precisely the connections that are needed between the SL framework
and vulnerability analysis. I wonder if we might meet to see if we
can jointly put a proposal to CHAD for some consultancy in this area?
At NRI we are able to access limitied funds to provide DFID advisors
in NR areas with advice, provided they express an interest and
request the work. It does not come out of their budgets so it is
quite attractive to get extra bits of work done.
I am away now for 2 weeks to India, but hope we might talk about this
soon?
my home number is 7682 0966
best wishes
Terry Cannon
