CONSULTATION AND PARTICIPATION IN HUMANITARIAN ACTION:
BENEFICIARIES AND AFFECTED POPULATIONS.
A consortium of ALNAP members (UN agencies, NGOs, Donors and Academics) is
seeking a Project Director to run this two-year Global Study. It aims to
develop a 'Handbook of Good Practice on consultation and participation in
humanitarian action' through action-research case studies focussing on 5
emergency contexts. The successful candidate will have excellent management
skills; knowledge and experience of the humanitarian sector and complex
emergencies; proven skills in socio-economic research; experience of
research design with operationally practical objectives; and, excellent oral
and writing skills. Desirable: previously published and a working knowledge
of French and/or Spanish.
