Dear Iain
I think Chris Parsons ([log in to unmask]) from City University mentioned
to me that he was putting together a similar list for risk management
courses. He lectures in insurance for an MSc in Risk and Insurance and will
be seeking a list that is more financially oriented. However the gap
between the two disciplines of environmental risks versus business risk etc
is muddy.
Some courses I know of are:
Contact: Dr Simon Ashby ([log in to unmask]) , Nottingham
Business School, University of Nottingham, MSc in Risk and Insurance
Contact: Dr Simon Bennett ([log in to unmask]) , Scarman Centre, University of
Leicester, MSc in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management
Contact: Dr Lynn Drennan ([log in to unmask]), Division of Risk, Glasgow
Caledonian University, BA in Risk Management
Contact: Dr Simon Gerrard ([log in to unmask]), Centre for Environmental
Risk Management (CERM), UEA, MSc ...
Contact: Dr Martina McGuinness ([log in to unmask]) and Ms Eve Coles
([log in to unmask]) , Centre for Risk and Crisis Management (CRaCM),
Sheffield University Management School, MSc ...
Contact: Ken Westgate ([log in to unmask]), The Disaster
Management Centre at Cranfield University, MSc in Disaster Management
Contact: Les Moseley ([log in to unmask]) and Dr Anne Eyre
([log in to unmask]), Coventry Centre for Disaster Management, Coventry
University, various degree courses.
For your information the Institute of Civil Defence and Disaster Studies
(ICDDS) is holding a workshop at which the majority of the above Centres and
Courses will be represented. Indeed, Dr Anne Eyre will be making a
presentation on the 'Multi-disciplinary Approach' to disaster management.
Here are the details:
Do you make risky decisions?

factors

Organised by: Institute of Civil Defence and Disaster Studies (South
Midlands)

Science and Environment, Priory Street, Coventry CV1 5FB
