Postdoctoral position at the Institute for Molecular Science in Japan
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position for two years in
chemical dynamics research group of Toshinori Suzuki at the Institute for
Molecular Science in Okazaki, Japan. Three major projects are (1) crossed
beam ion imaging studies on bimolecular reaction dynamics, (2) vector
correlation and non-adiabatic dynamics in molecular photodissociation, and
(3) femtosecond photoelectron imaging on ultrafast molecular dynamics. Each
of these projects employs a dedicated high-vacuum molecular beam machine, a
laser system, and an imaging system. We have close collaboration with
theorists at IMS and elsewhere. English is used in all scientific
discussions. Some of our recent publications are found at our home page
(http://suzukig.ims.ac.jp) and general information about our institute can
be found at www.ims.ac.jp. Accommodation at walking distance is offered.
Interested applicants should submit, by e-mail (1) a Curriculum Vitae (2) a
letter of application describing their most important scientific
achievements (3) a list of publications (4) the names, addresses and e-mail
addresses of, at least, two referees.
