BRYN-DYFI MINE SITE
Dear All,
Having spoken to the farmer (who I know very well), who owns the site, he is
getting, shall we say, rather irritated at the number of people who are;
firstly visiting the site without permission, &, secondly, those who 'just
turn up' asking to visit.
The matter has been placed into my hands, and what concerns me most, is that
he is threatening to bulldoze the Dressing Shed since it is becoming unsafe,
and he doesn't want anyone hurt for the obvious reasons. This building could
be easily made safe, & I am certain, with the right approach, that an
agreement could be made whereby the structure could be secured, and all would
be happy.
From this date, may I ask that no-one visits or does anything in connection
with this site, & I will mail again on the matter. To save the situation, I
have agreed - in principal - that anyone wishing to visit the site requires
to telephone first, & the farmer is happy with this - but, please all, he is
getting a bit fed up with the numbers visiting at the moment.
I will soon be posting his name & tel.no., and it would be rather nice if we
all could get some arrangement to help save the buildings on this site -
which will not take very much effort financially, but will take a great deal
diplomatically - this I will sort out.
An email to the base will be sent shortly on the matter, but please everyone
keep clear of this site for the time being. I will do my best in this matter,
since it is a prime site, and one that needs attention, but it is v.important
that everything is 'done properly'.
Please pass this message onto anybody that this not a member of the mailbase.
Regards, Bernard.
