Looking for help on where I might find information on the Harqua Hala
Gold Mining Company, an English syndicate which purchased the Bonanza
and Golden Eagle Mines in the Harquahala Mountains from its Arizona
proprietors A.G. Hubbard and George W. Bowers in 1893 for $1.25 million.
Hubbard and Bowers had acquired the mines in 1890 and spent $275,00
developing the site and mill, which began operation in 1891. They
purportedly extracted some $1.6 million prior to the sale.
The mines were sold at public auction in August 1899 for $5,000 back to
Hubbard.
Thanks in advance for any help.
