For anyone who wants internet access to the quarrying bibliography,
this can be done by files on my web space. These were once part
of Adrian Pearce's mining history database; Adrian subsquently moved
administration of the database onto his own web space but I didn't
get round to deleting the files from my area.
http://www-users.aston.ac.uk/~poynerdr/quarbib.htm will get you to
the introductory page. From this you will see that the database
itself is split into alphabetical sections. Unfortunately the links
from the introductory page to these sections do not work so you will
need to type in the individual URLs as follows to get at the data.
Use http://www-users.aston.ac.uk/~poynerdr/a.htm for the entries
starting with a, then b.htm for entries starting with b, c_d.htm for
c to d, e_g.htm for e to g, h_-j.htm for h to j, k_m.htm for k to m,
n_r.htm for n to r, s.htm for s and t_z.htm for t to z.
Adrian had permission from the authors to make the database
accessible and I have confirmed with Andy Bowman that he is happy
that these links can continue to be made public.
