I am currently doing a project on Welsh miners who came to Pennsylvania
in the 1800's.
It occurred to me, that I have heard and read, that the miners preferred
drink whilst at work was tea...but with the absense of the thermos, how was
the tea prepared? Was it brewed at home, carried in a can and drunk cold?
Reheated at the mine somehow ( and how?) or mad at the mine?
If anyone has knowledge about the eating/drinking habits of miners whilst
at work and can enlighten me, or point the way to a good resource for
finding this information for myself, I should much appreciate it.
Thank you
