Hi
Are you are bored doing nothing during the Foot & Mouth crisis? Are you
unable to get to the mines?
Then come to a working day at Bersham Colliery near Wrexham. As the
remains are in the middle of an industrial estate there are no
restrictions. Bring yourself, bring the kids, jobs for all.
Meet on Sunday 22nd at 10.30am. Directions and a map are on the Bersham
Colliey Trust website at
http://www.ap.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/bct.htm
The original headgear (only one left in North Wales) and engine house
with winding engine in situ are being done up as a low kew mining
interpretation centre. The Bersham Colliery Trust will be taking over
the site.
On Sunday we will continue to clear out and clean the engine house. If
you have them bring brushes, shovels, bin bags, mops, buckets, cleaning
rags, detergent.
Adrian
