CALL FOR PAPERS
The North Carolina Colloquium on Medieval and Renaissance Studies
February 22-23, 2002
UNC-Chapel Hill
This year's conference theme is "Authority and Authorities." Twenty-minute
papers may address any topic that pertains to the conference theme,
broadly construed, and focuses on Europe or its contact cultures in the
period 500-1700. The organizers hope for a diverse pool of submissions
from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
Submit 300-word abstracts by email to [log in to unmask] The deadline for
submitting abstracts is December 31, 2001. Acceptance will be selective,
and notification will be given by email on or before January 10, 2002.
The North Carolina Colloquium is a graduate student conference
collaboratively administered by UNC and Duke, with the venue alternating
between the two universities. Paper proposals from graduate students at
all universities are welcome. Please distribute this information through
any appropriate channels within your institutions and encourage graduate
student submissions.
