For those 'Guardian readers' out there - I'd just like to draw your
attention to pages 8 and 9 in todays educ@guardian section of the paper.
There is an article about the Guardian sponsored Becta web awards. This year
there is a new catagory ( see page 9, 2002 awards, bottom right of page) I
would like to encourage museums/galleries/archives to submit entries for the
new NGfL award - so please enter by January 18 if you have been involved in
creating educational content for the web. The content can be designed for
any audience (ie: not just schools) as long as it is educational in the
broadest sense. More details at www.becta.org.uk/websiteawards or contact
Vicky Mitchell or me at Becta.
Also can I encourage any museums and galleries who haven't registered their
website with the NGfL portal to do so. Just go to www.ngfl.gov.uk and click
on 'Link your site'.
Becta has also recently produced more 'Advice for NGfL Content Providers'
which can be found by clicking on 'Advice' on the NGfL home page at
www.ngfl.gov.uk
If you would like a hard copy of the document please let me know.
