Dear MCG listers,
It's not too late to book a place a the Museums Computer Group autumn 2001
meeting. The meeting is FREE to MCG members and non-members alike and takes
place at the newly re-opened Norwich Castle Museum on Tuesday 11th
September.
A full day of presentations includes:
- 'Digitising Norfolk's History' - a project to digitise Norfolk Library
Services' photographic and newspaper collections, with images provided by
the Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service;
- 'Virtual Norfolk', a co-operative web-based project between the University
of East Anglia, JISC and the Norfolk Record Office;
- 'Anglia On-line' - how museums can contribute to materials for teaching
resources.
...and much more besides.
In the evening, delegates will have the opportunity to attend a reception at
the Museum to mark the start of the 2001 mda Conference 'Scanning the
Horizon' (this event requires a separate booking with the mda and is charged
for - a booking form can be found at
