There has been a lot of postings recently on web site design. Access to
information on websites by people using technology other than the bog
standard web browser such as screen readers or with a sensory impairment
is important. Partly this is because of the phasing in of provisons in
the Disability Discrimination Act and because it should be important
anyway.
A useful disability access audit checklist can be downloaded from
http:\\www.atc.sussex.ac.uk/cfdocs/niad/baseline/home .Some of what it
measures might be open to argument but it will make you think through
your site and much of it is simple good practise anyway.
