Dear LS discussion list members,
As highlighted in Issue 20 of the ONS/CLS LS Newsletter (June 1999) many
countries have comparable datasets similar to the LS. These include the EU
cancer registries which facilitate the analysis of cancer incidence and
mortality at a national and sub-national level.
I'm forwarding an email recently sent by Hans Storm from the Danish Cancer
Registry, which highlights that a new report on the Nordic Cancer
Registries is now available on the web.
http://www.cancer.dk/ancr
Researchers who are considering undertaking international comparative
research of cancer incidence and mortality may find it useful to visit
the site, which includes background information on the Nordic registries
and the data which are recorded by each country.
Best wishes,

Friends,
For your information and for news-letters - the Nordic cancer registry
survey is now updated and placed on the web. The purpose is to facilitate
nordic collaborative studies by giving registry researchers the possibility
themselves to check what can possibly be done with current and with
historical data - and to give some detailed background information on the
registry operations.
Registries and researchers in other countries may also find the information
useful.
It can be found at http://www.cancer.dk/ancr and it is a collection of PDF
files.
Yours,
Hans Storm
