British Library & BioMed Central Open Access Forum
Calling all Medical, Life Science and Healthcare Librarians!
You are invited to attend a Forum on Open Access in Science and Medical
Publishing at the British Library in London on November 19th 2001.
Co-hosted by the British Library and BioMed Central, this event will provide
an afternoon of talks and open discussion on developments and issues in new
models of scholarly publishing.
Speaking at the event will be:
* Professor Herbert Van de Sompel - Director of E-Strategy and
Programs at the British Library
* Fred Friend of the SPARC Europe Interim Steering Committee
* Fiona Godlee - Editorial Director for Medical Publishing, BioMed
Central
* Chris Zielinski - Director of Informania Ltd
There will be question and answer sessions following each talk.
The session will run from 2pm until 4.30pm, after which there will be an
early evening drinks reception.
This promises to be a lively and interesting discussion forum - we do hope
