Dear Miss Risberg
Our Innopac library system has local support for CJK and Arabic
scripts. The CJK function is now fully operational but the Arabic
script module is still at an early stage. We only have around 1000
Arabic records created so far and you need either Arabic Windows or
Windows 2000 with the Arabic support to search the catalogue. You can,
however, view it using IE with Unicode. Try and search for works by
Jahiz (jim+alif+ha+za') at the url: http://library.dur.ac.uk/
Select Unicode output option from the list at the buttom of the screen
before you execute your search.
Please contact me again if you need further assistance.
