The School of Pharmacy, University of London.
A vacancy has arisen in our busy biomedical academic library for a part
time Library Assistant to undertake general library duties on two weekday
evenings (including Friday) during term-time between 5pm - 8pm.
Duties will include issue desk and enquiry work, shelving, tidying,
photocopying and assistance to users. All library housekeeping procedures
are computerised using the Unicorn system. We are looking for an
energetic, resourceful and reliable individual with good customer and
communication skills. Previous experience in a busy library and a degree
level education will be advantageous.
Flexibility regarding evenings to be worked, and the willingness/ability to
help out with extra hours during busy times will also be an
advantage. Salary will be pro rata on a clerical scale, approx £8 per
hour. In-house familiarisation training will be given.
