Dear colleagues,
I was wondering if anyone has a nice simple formula that they use to
determine allocations
of money per subject within a book budget. Our expertise in this field
disappeared when a colleague
left the University. I am not looking for anything very complicated, but
would like to know the following:
a) what things are considered when determining allocations e.g. number of
students per course perhaps,
or the average price of a book within a certain subject area.
b) and how are these factors put together into a formula that would work out
the actual distribution of money ?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I need to start thinking
about the new budget year starting July 1.
