1. Downloadable TONIC!
The popular TONIC tutorial can now be downloaded and installed on a
standalone PC for personal use with a web browser, or installed on a server
for use within your institution (subject to access restrictions).
An additional feature of both the online and downloadable version is a new
index. This makes it easier to find the section of TONIC which relates to
the topic that you are interested in. The index can be accessed at any time
by selecting the Index icon within the bottom frame of the TONIC tutorial.

2. Six New Training Modules released
Netskills are pleased to announce the release of the following new training
modules:
Blackboard: Assessment Tools
Blackboard: Student Management, Grading and Other Issues
Using the Internet for Learning and Teaching in Further Education
Creating Web Pages using Dreamweaver 4
Page Design and Site Management in Dreamweaver 4
Creating a Corporate Look using Dreamweaver 4

3. Training Module of the Month
**Blackboard: Student Management, Grading and Other Issues**
This training module is part of a series of four Blackboard modules designed
to be used either individually or together as a group. This module gives an
overview of the student management features of Blackboard version 5,
including quiz grading, statistics and tracking of student
progress/achievement. It also covers other general issues associated with
the use of Blackboard for learning and teaching.
The module covers:
Student management, including enrolment and the use of groups
Quiz grading and statistics
Tracking of course content and students
Pedagogic and other issues, including accessibility
Users of the module have an opportunity to:
Enroll a student onto a course
Create a Group and modify its properties
Explore a course from a student perspective, including taking a Quiz
Grade a Quiz and view Quiz statistics
Explore course statistics, including page and student tracking facilities
