A unique opportunity has arisen for an innovative Librarian to develop this
newly created post. This challenge will be ideal for a Librarian with a
clear vision for delivering a quality Mental Health Library Service.
The role, supported by an excellent team of Librarians, will be to develop
and oversee implementation of a Birmingham and Solihull wide Mental Health
Library service strategy.
The post will be based at Northern Birmingham Mental Health Trust, Highcroft
Hospital, but the post holder will also work with South Birmingham Mental
Health Trust and Primary Care Organisations providing Mental Health services
in Birmingham and Solihull.
Applicants should be qualified to degree or diploma level in Library and
Information Services with at least 3 years relevant experience and
Chartership.

Two exciting vacancies have arisen for library skills training facilitators
to work across the mental health services in Birmingham and Solihull. The
post holders will each be based at one of the main Mental Health Trusts but
work with all Mental Health Staff concentrating on particular clinical
specialities.
The role will involve developing training materials and plans and delivering
and evaluating training sessions.
The post holders will need to be flexible in their approach to training and
innovative in creating new opportunities to bring staff together for
training.
Applicants should be qualified to degree or diploma level in Library and
Information Services with 2 years relevant experience.
